The Taitung Coastal National Scenic Area stretches along the southeastern coast of Taiwan, spanning Taitung County's rugged shorelines and nearby islands. This protected area features dramatic cliffs, volcanic rock formations, pristine beaches, and clear turquoise waters, making it a haven for nature lovers and outdoor enthusiasts. Geographically, the area showcases the intersection of the Central Mountain Range and the Pacific Ocean, resulting in a unique coastal ecosystem rich in marine biodiversity. Ecologically, the region supports coral reefs, mangrove forests, and a variety of migratory birds and marine wildlife.
